Virtual High Intensity Training

Virtual Off-Ice Training for 2004-2007 & 2008-2009 Birth Years

Eric Tufman, owner of 86 Hockey (
https://www.86hockey.com/eric-tufman.html), along with Julius King from All Fitness 24 (https://allfitnessonline.com/meet-the-crew/), are introducing our live virtual hockey specific workout class, with a maximum of 10 students per session. This personalized system allows the kids to not only improve their strength, speed, agility, and conditioning but understand how to motivate and push themselves to a point they did not know they could while learning the form of each exercise. The focus of the "hockey-specific" exercises will be HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) training. The work to rest ratio teaches the kids, mentally and physically, how to utilize the rest portion to attack the work part. The session will be 45-50 minutes long.

The classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 3 and 4 pm with Julius King, and 3, 4, and 5 pm with Eric Tufman, starting May 11th. The classes will be $10 each. To sign up for a class, go to 86hockey.com. Click the "book now" tab located in the upper right-hand corner. From there, you will see the classes are based on birth year to maximize the training for everyone. Please select the class that best suits your student. This will then bring you to a calendar where you can choose the dates you would like to join. If you do not see a class listed on the website, it has already been booked. You will be able to pay by credit card or PayPal on the following page. After a successful payment, a link and meeting ID will be available, which will also be emailed to you. Use this link to enter the class or go to Zoom.com or use the Zoom app and enter the meeting ID.

Additionally, some technical information regarding the camera and Zoom screen settings. As for the camera, a laptop is best suited to get a full picture from the floor and up, as you can adjust the screen positioning allowing us to correct their form efficiently. As for the screen settings, it is best to set the screen to "speaker view," or “pinning” the instructor’s video which will make us the primary picture, allowing the students to see the exercises. Furthermore, if a class books quickly and is unavailable, please reach out to me as we can open additional classes. Lastly, please have a stick nearby for agility exercises. Please let me know if you have any questions.

If you would like to test your camera and audio on Zoom, we have scheduled a test on Saturday, May 9th at 10 and 10:30 am. Please signup through 86hockey.com to complete this test. If you have any trouble, please reach out, and we can assist you.
